Security is an essential part of any online operation, it is important that your systems are resilient against most forms of attacks that it may be faced with. Our security features are written by people who have tried to expose potential security holes in the past with a number of different operating systems. We hands on experience of security holes and how to protect systems DMC have now produced a comprehensive number of security packages for server operators.

Below is the extent in which we are able to protect and investigate system security:

• Deployment of industry standard firewall and custom ruleset
• Industry standard Intrusion Detection System (IDS) to help spot intrusions before they happen, and discover how an intruder broke in
• 30 security checks carried out on linux box upon setup and system locked down
• Complete RPM software enchancment and security/bug fix update (over 60 updates upon setup)
• Software and security holes patched immediately as soon as new vulnerabilities discovered
• Email and optional SMS notification of intrusion
• Lockdown script to logout any logged in users and shut all ports but port 80, paranoid firewalling mode switched on, email out breach logs. Can be unlocked through http interface.
• Remote logging to ensure logs cannot be tampered with.
• Optional weekly portscan to detect any unusual open ports, IDS would have already discovered new ports in most cases.
• Security audit carried out after server is fully functional for customer to see if any other potential security holes can be closed (eg closing unused ports or stopping unused services/daemons)
• File integrity checks to trace altered files
• Emergency support/response to recover from intrusions (remote daily backups would be needed for this to work well)
