DMC Colocation

DMC are a market leading provider of comprehensive colocation services to a broad variety of clientel. We currently have telco arrangements and PoP's in 29 seperate UK locations and 7 other Pan European locations.

The DMC Internet PoP sites are defined according to size with the largest being a Type A PoP and the smallest a Type C PoP.

The PoPs are all configured to the same industry specifications and the PoP Co-Location space available is the same in all buildings.

The DC power supply is provided with UPS facility. The UPS is in the form of a battery supply capable of running all the essential equipment for a period of one hour. The AC power supply is also provided with UPS facility. The essential supplies (AC rack supplies) are supported with 60 KvA battery back up, with 1 hour autonomy.

In addition, the DMC Internet PoPs are provided with generators capable of supporting all essential equipment and the recharging of the batteries. The generator will come into full operation within 5 minutes of a power failure.

In the event of the standby generator failing to start, provision has been made for an emergency generator hook up.

DMC Internet PoPs are equipped with air conditioning units capable of maintaining the environment of the communications room at an ambient temperature of 22°C and humidity of no less than 40RH and no more than 60RH. It is expected that the equipment installed in DMC Internet PoPs will not exceed 125KWatts.

Full fire alarm systems are installed in all premises with the BMS monitoring facility the opportunity to review over 300 alarms from each DMC Internet PoP. Argonite fire suppressant systems are installed in the comms room in all sites.
